Meekail Shaheed Vice President of Recruiting and Logistics Meekail Shaheed graduated from Bayonne High School, Bayonne, New Jersey, in 1982. Immediately after graduation, he enlisted in the United States Air Force, where he served Active Duty for 21 years. As an Air Force Cryptologic Linguist, Meekail studied Arabic at the Defense Language Institute in Monterey, California. Military awards include the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, the Joint Service Commendation Medal, and the Air Force Commendation Medal with three Oak Leaf clusters. Upon retiring from the military in 2003, Meekail served as a Deputy Sheriff in Augusta, Georgia. During this time, he was selected to join the DEA Task Force. As a Task Force Officer, Meekail attended the DEA Intelligence Analyst course at Quantico, Virginia. In 2008, he was recognized for superior performance in the war on drugs by DEA Administrator Michele Leonhart. In 2010, Meekail started working in the Background Investigations industry as a background investigator at USIS. He worked through the field operations levels and was selected as team lead and field manager with Keypoint, Perspecta, and Peraton. Meekail was promoted to Regional Field Director at Peraton in 2018 and served in that role until November 2023. Meekail received his Bachelors degree in Criminal Justice from the American Military University. He is single and currently resides in Warner Robins, Georgia.
