What You'll Get to Do

We are currently seeking National Training Standard (NTS) certified Credentialed Background Investigators in Virginia.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES​​

  • Conduct comprehensive interviews with subjects, employers, associates, and references

  • Review appropriate records to establish background, reputation, and character

  • Investigate suitability and qualifications of subjects under investigation

  • Document all information received with exceptional attention to detail

  • Submit detailed reports of investigation within strict timelines

  • Travel locally throughout Virginia based on assignment locations

Primary Focus

  • Arlington

  • Alexandria 

  • Fairfax

Regular local travel required. Reliable transportation is needed.

Essential Qualifications

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS ​​

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent experience

  • Minimum 3 years of background investigation experience

  • National Training Standard (NTS) certification

  • Proven quality, timeliness, and production metrics

  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills

  • Excellent time management and organizational abilities

  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

  • Impeccable work ethic and integrity

  • Can-do attitude with professional demeanor

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

  • Physical ability to walk, type, sit, or stand for extended periods

  • Willingness to work flexible schedule based on assignment needs

Security Clearance Requirement

REQUIRED CLEARANCE LEVEL

Top Secret Clearance with favorable adjudication based on:

  • T5 Investigation, OR

  • Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI)

 

ALTERNATIVE CONSIDERATION

Candidates must have the ability to obtain/maintain a favorable determination based on a Single Scope Background Investigation if not currently cleared.
